The web site has been developed as a part of the "Development of guidelines for national biological safety of the Republic of Croatia" project (State institute for nature protection).
The web site has been designed to provide information to Croatia's and international public about the Project and the issues related to genetically engineered organisms (GMOs) in general (legal regulations), news from the country and the World etc.). Since the web site is meant to be an education tool as well, it features a dictionary covering genetics and biotechnology concepts.
The web site provides an overview of legal regulation about biological safety, national survey results, presentations and reports of all organized workshops, pub1lications and useful links to related web sites of other countries and international institutions.
The platform used to implement the web site is the eZ Publish CMS.
